About Us

Queer Community Health is a student organization at UCLA established in 2019 with the goal of creating a safe space for queer folx to come together with the medical community and discuss how to improve our community's health. Our club aims to address health disparities that affect our community and increase healthcare accessibility through providing educational workshops, basic services, and resources.

gENERAL RESOURCES CHAIR

Hello everyone!

I am a 4th year sociology major. As GRC chair, I work to gather resources pertaining to housing instability and food insecurity. It is my job to keep an eye on issues affecting the health of our community and work to the GRC to plan possible interventions.

As a co-director, I work alongside Sophie to oversee ongoing projects and ensure they abide our mission.

Legal RESOURCES CHAIR

Hey y'all!

I'm Sophie, one of your friendly neighborhood bisexual gals. I'm a third year student studying English literature. I assist in overseeing QCH's projects and campaigns, and I also reach out to community legal clinics, public assistance, and other legal resources in order to promote queer health in law and policy.

Hi y'all!

I'm Vinn, your local transmasc nonbinary pal! I'm a second year planning on majoring in English while double minoring in Education Studies and Asian American Studies. As secretary, I'll be organizing and creating records of information in QCH while also doing all that I can to advocate for those underserved in the queer community.

Tasha Tsao (she/hers)

Medical Resources chair

Hi friends!

My name is Tasha and I am a grade-A lesbian! I am entering my junior year as a Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics major at UCLA. As one of the medical resource heads, I do a lot of digging and research on health care statistics and medical services that are available to people of the queer community.
